SSL certificates ensure that all data transmitted to and from your cloud instances is encrypted, providing a secure HTTPS connection.

Before You Begin

  • A domain successfully pointing to your Websitely instance.

Enabling SSL

  1. Go to my.websitely.com and login to your account.
  2. Select your instance and navigate to Site Settings > Security.
  3. Locate the SSL/TLS section and click Generate/Install Certificate.
  4. Our system will automatically provision and install a Let’s Encrypt certificate across our cloud edge servers.
  5. Enable Force HTTPS to ensure all traffic is encrypted.

Best Practices

  • Enable “Force HTTPS” in your settings to ensure all traffic is encrypted.
  • Renew your certificates automatically; most modern systems, including Websitely, handle this for you.
