SSL Certificates
Jul 03, 2026
SSL certificates encrypt the data transmitted between your users and your server, ensuring a secure “HTTPS” connection.
Before You Begin
- A domain name successfully pointed to your Websitely instance.
Enabling SSL
- Sign in to your Websitely Dashboard.
- Navigate to Site Settings > Security or SSL.
- Click Enable SSL.
- Our system will automatically provision and install a free Let’s Encrypt certificate for your domain.
Best Practices
- Enable “Force HTTPS” in your settings to ensure all traffic is encrypted.
- Renew your certificates automatically; most modern systems, including Websitely, handle this for you.
