SSL certificates encrypt the data transmitted between your users and your server, ensuring a secure “HTTPS” connection.

Before You Begin

  • A domain name successfully pointed to your Websitely instance.

Enabling SSL

  1. Sign in to your Websitely Dashboard.
  2. Navigate to Site Settings > Security or SSL.
  3. Click Enable SSL.
  4. Our system will automatically provision and install a free Let’s Encrypt certificate for your domain.

Best Practices

  • Enable “Force HTTPS” in your settings to ensure all traffic is encrypted.
  • Renew your certificates automatically; most modern systems, including Websitely, handle this for you.

Frequently Asked Questions
