Our cloud platform provides the underlying infrastructure security, but protecting your WordPress installation requires vigilance.

Before You Begin

  • Administrative access to your WordPress dashboard.

Securing your Site

  1. Go to my.websitely.com and login to your account.
  2. Select your instance and navigate to Site Tools > Security Settings.
  3. Enable Firewall and Malware Scanning.
  4. Within your WordPress dashboard, ensure all admin users use strong, unique passwords and enable 2FA if supported by your theme/plugin.

Best Practices

  • Always keep your WordPress core, themes, and plugins updated.
  • Limit login attempts to prevent brute-force attacks.
  • Use a Web Application Firewall (WAF) to filter malicious traffic.
