Before You Begin

• Access to your domain registrar’s control panel.

Configuring Nameservers

1. Go to my.websitely.com and login to your account.
2. Select your instance and locate the Nameserver details in the DNS section.
3. Log in to your domain registrar and navigate to Nameserver Settings.
4. Select Custom Nameservers and input the primary and secondary addresses provided by Websitely.
5. Save your settings. Global propagation may take up to 24 hours.

Best Practices

• Only change nameservers if you want Websitely to manage your DNS records entirely.
• If you prefer to keep your registrar’s DNS, simply use A and CNAME records instead.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is it better to use Nameservers or DNS Records?

If you want Websitely to handle all routing, Nameservers are easier. If you need to keep email or other services hosted elsewhere, A/CNAME records are recommended.
